A car accident saved Mike Stramaglio's life, but at the cost of his hearing.
Years ago, Mike and his wife were rear-ended on their way to a surprise birthday party for Mike's father. When doctors searched Mike's head for brain injuries, they instead found an acoustic neuroma: a potentially life-threatening tumor. The tumor was removed, but the procedure left Mike completely deaf in one ear and with significant hearing loss in the other.
This week, Mike opens up about his Single-Sided Deafness (SSD) and hearing loss. Joined by his daughter and ConnectWise executive Jenna Stramaglio, the father-daughter team talks about the technology that could improve life for people with disabilities - and the humanity that is so critical to good communication. This week, we dive into:
What role can AI play in improving communication?
What can you to do help people with disabilities acclimate?
How much automation will we see in the near-future?
